Public Health England Information Regarding Covid 19

With this unforeseen, deadly pandemic across the globe, we at Manchester Pharmacy want to ensure the public are keeping safe as possible. If you develop any symptoms, you must self-isolate at home and get tested.

  • High Temperature

  • New, continuous cough

  • Loss of change to your sense of smell or taste

If you are experiencing at least one of the symptoms, there are two ways of getting a test:

  1. Book an appointment at a drive-through or test site local to your area

  2. Ask for a home test kit

A test must be carried out in the first FIVE DAYS of experiencing symptoms.

If you are experiencing any of the symptoms, it is advised to ensure you are getting plenty of rest and drinking plenty of fluids (mainly water) to avoid dehydration. Paracetamol can be taken if required.

To minimise your risk of contracting the disease, please adhere to the following:

  • Stay at home as much as possible

  • Limit contact with other people; avoid hugging, hand shaking etc

  • Wash your hands regularly

  • Maintain a two metre social distance from those outside of your household

  • According to recent research, a daily intake of Vitamin D will boost your immune system to help fight off the disease

  • Wear a face mask when in public/ on public transport

  • Carry a hand sanitiser with you when it is essential to leave your house
